RECAP | VIDEO INTERVIEW | GAME BOOK (PDF)Â | PHOTO GALLERY
Overall thoughts on the game
"It wasn't our prettiest game, to say the least. We threw the ball all over the place and really didn't take care of it. When we finally got down to executing and playing solid basketball, we took care of the ball and ended up shooting a pretty high percentage for the game. We had too many turnovers and weren't sharp. We should have played better, but we got a win. We'll take it and move forward. Non-conference is over and our focus moves to Abilene Christian and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on the 29
th and the 31
st."

On the way Williams Baptist played tonight
"Josh Austin does such a good job. That's one of the reasons we scheduled them two years in a row. He's a really good coach, they do a lot of good things and it's good to see that kind of zone. We got some good reps and did some things against it. It's tough to replicate that all the time, and they do a good job of that."
Â
On the Privateers play off the bench
"Jorge came in and really gave us some good minutes. He was very solid. He made some big improvements defensively. He's been working on watching film and doing a lot of things. Offensively, he made some steps forward and did some good things there. I'm really proud of
Matthew Jiles. Jiles came in and gave us a needed spark defensively and offensively with good energy. I'm proud of how Matthew came in and gave us some good leadership."
Â
On UNO committing 22 turnovers
"We just weren't sharp and there's no excuse for it. I don't care if we did play a number of games in a short period of time with cross-country travel. You've got to take care of it. The thing didn't have spikes on it. It's round and it's smooth. Hold onto it and play. It was frustrating that we didn't play better and weren't sharper from an execution standpoint."
Â
On the way the team played during the non-conference portion of the season
"We've had a hard run. In the non-conference portion of the season, we've logged a lot of miles. We've been across the country a couple of times and have done a few things. This will be good for us. They need a break, get home, see their family, greet their momma, eat some good food and get refreshed. We'll come back together on the 26
th and get locked in and ready to play two really good, tough conference games to open league play."
Â
On the upcoming Southland Conference slate
"We want to be able to get off to a great start. Being able to start off at home in Lakefront Arena is huge. It's a big advantage for us. We want to come out and play at a high level like we've played in so many of our non-conference games. We've made some great strides and played a lot of really good minutes. In the ones we weren't good at, I think we've learned. We've done a great job with film. Our staff has done an incredible job of reteaching, learning and seeing what the guys need to cover and refocus on. Overall, in the non-conference portion of our schedule, we played well. Hopefully, that'll carry over into league play so we can make a run at the championship and play well into March."
