Inclement Weather Impacts UNO Tennis, Women's Golf Schedules

UNO Tennis vs ACU Canceled, Women's Golf Dual to be Rescheduled

NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans tennis and women's golf programs announced that their events scheduled for today (Sunday) would not occur due to inclement weather.

The UNO men's and tennis teams were slated to contest a dual against future Southland Conference foe Abilene Christian in a neutral site match hosted by West Florida in Pensacola, Fla. at 11 a.m. The match has been canceled with no plans for a make-up date.

Both Privateer tennis teams will resume their 2013 campaign on Thursday, Apr. 18 at 11 a.m. at the University Tennis Center against Jackson State. Admission to the dual is free.

Back in the greater New Orleans area, the UNO women's golf team was scheduled to face JSU in a dual at Slidell's Oak Harbor Golf Club at 1 p.m. Head coach Chris McCarter and his Tigers' counterpart Eddie Payton anticipate re-scheduling the dual for later in the week.

A make-up date for the women's golf dual and any other additional updates will be posted on UNOPrivateers.com, the 'University of New Orleans Privateers' on Facebook page and on Twitter (@UNOPrivateers).
