Follow the Privateers in 2013

NEW ORLEANS – New Orleans Privateer baseball fans from across the globe will be able to follow the team this year as the athletic department announced its radio and video streaming plans for the 2013 campaign on Wednesday.
A total of 18 UNO baseball games will be broadcast on WGSO 990 AM in the greater New Orleans area beginning on Friday with the team's season opener against Southeast Missouri from Wesley Barrow Stadium.
All games on WGSO 990 AM will begin with a pre-game show starting 15 minutes prior to first pitch. Head coach Bruce Peddie will join the broadcast post-game to share his thoughts on the recently completed contest.
Each WGSO broadcast will also be streamed online via the WGSO.com web site, which will also house podcasts of the games.
In addition to the 18-game radio schedule, all 14 UNO home games will be video streamed this season on the UNO Showcase located on UNOPrivateers.com\Showcase. This is the first time since the 2010 season in which video of Privateer home games will be streamed online.
Beginning with the pre-game show, live video will get started 15 minutes prior to first pitch and will continue through the end of the post-game coverage. The feed will feature an audio simulcast with the radio coverage.
Fans can subscribe to the UNO Showcase at a cost of $6.95 for 24-hour access or $10.95 for a re-occurring monthly subscription. Subscribers will also have the ability to watch archived games, which will be uploaded with 48-72 hours of each contest's completion.
Jude Young will provide the play-by-play for the Privateers, his second season behind the mic. Young currently serves as the public address announcer for UNO basketball and also hosts the 'Inside UNO Athletics' show during the year on WGSO.
