Note: The Feb. 14 edition of the show will feature UNO men's basketball head coach Mark Slessinger for roughly 15 minutes and lead right in to the baseball broadcast of UNO-Stillman College from Maestri Field.
NEW ORLEANS – The University of New Orleans Coaches Show will take to the airways throughout the 2011-12 athletic calendar year, continuing on Tuesday, Feb. 14 at 6 p.m.
The show will air live WGSO 990 AM and online at WGSO.com. Podcasts of the show will also be made available on WGSO.com.
Most shows on the slate will occur on Tuesday nights with several shows moved to Wednesday to avoid conflicts with Privateer athletic contests. All broadcasts will begin at 6 p.m.
UNO men's basketball coach
Mark Slessinger will be the featured guest through the basketball season before turning guest duties over to head baseball coach Bruce Peddie in the spring.
Athletic director Amy Champion and other Privateer head coaches may appear on select episodes of the show.
The guest of the week will join UNO play-by-play man Jude Young for the 30-minute segment that will air as part of Young's “2
nd String” show on WGSO.
