Jason Veillion enters his 10th season as director of Maestri Field, where he is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the entire park.

He continues a tradition that was started in 1991 when Maestri Field and the UNO baseball staff were honored by the American Baseball Coaches Association with the Groundskeeper of the Year Award for the nation's best field.

Veillion was intergral in the revamped surfaced layed at Maestri Field prior to the 2007 season.

Veillion lives in Pearl River.
