Silver Edges Blue in UNO Intrasquad Swimming and Diving Dual

NEW ORLEANS - A dual between Blue and Silver squads during the University of New Orleans men's and women's swimming and diving intrasquad meet came down to the final event as the Silver team picked up a 98-87 victory over the Blue on Sunday afternoon at Tulane's Reilly Center.

With seven points on the line in the men's 200 free relay and the Silver team clinging to a 91-87 lead entering the event, the Silver squad of Jarryd Gregoire, Bo John Wullings, Jake Van Roekel and Mark Schindler edged out the Blue with a time of 1:27.60.

"It was well well-matched dual between the two teams," said head coach Randy Horner. "It was a good kickoff for the women and a follow-up opener for the men. This intrasquad gave both teams a taste of a dual meet before the season starts this coming week."

The men and women will next compete this coming Friday against Incarnate Word at Tulane's Reilly Center in what Swimming World Magazine as billed as the "Dual of the Week". The dual is set to begin at 12 p.m.
